Boat Rocker | Coach Dave Live | 1-9-2020
“I’m a boat rocker.†Exclaimed Coach as he started the show. “I give my opinion on this show. I don’t know everything.â€Â Experience is a big part of getting things done. Coach talked about having the gift of communication. “I can tell a story about a cat that’ll make a dog cry.â€Â This makes some people uncomfortable.
All leaders make people uncomfortable. “The real proof of leadership is the ability to discern in others the difference between what they want and what they need.†Said Coach. To move forward in America there’s going to be a lot of discomfort. Leaders are going to have to be willing to take a lot of abuse.
The Huddle discussed 2 Corinthians 10. It is important to take captive every thought. The more you obey the voice of the Holy Spirit the more his voice becomes easy to recognize.
“What does it mean to cast down imaginations?†Asked Coach. Additionally, we must cast down every “high thing.â€Â The thoughts that must be cast down are in our heads.  Our entire reality is inside our heads. Thoughts are important. “Most of the problems in my life are the result of me not taking captive every thought.†Confessed Coach. “Can you recognize the stronghold in your life?â€Â Have you become comfortable with it?
Coach admitted that the stronghold in his life is procrastination.
The thought to look at pornography on the computer precedes looking at it. It’s critical to take that thought captive. The Bible says that we should pray without ceasing. That means we should never turn the Holy Spirit off. We should keep the communication lines open continuously.
The Huddle explored the mechanics of prayer, discussing the realities of processes of prayer. “Part of it is allowing the Holy Spirit to take you out of your comfort zone.†Observed Coach. We must learn to hear and obey the Holy Spirit.
